dont split your attributes so far. I go full death minon master necro. but it works best if you are /r with a pet and have the fire imp summoning stone

What about without summon stone? What's best to max?
----------
Took the new build out for a bit of a test run, really impressed with the results. Got a new weapon to go with it. Links: http://i.imgur.com/os5WG.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9xCJ2.jpg I've been able to get over 150 dps, 300 burst out of it when I manage minions well (ridiculous!)

150-300dps against level 0-1 mobs? I see you're testing just outside Ascalon. I'm sorry to say but that dps won't be sustainable, only way to know if your build is good is going against Charrs in Northland.
If you can take out a group of 4 charrs alone in Northland, it's good.
If that group is with a shaman, it's better.
And if that group is with two shamans, it's great.

I find that I can take out a group of four (with shaman) if I manage my minions, enchantments, and energy carefully. The smite signet -> death swarm is really nice with restraining melee charr until my minions get back. The circle shield in the picture is enchanted with armor vs. charr, which helps too.

I'd say definitely don't split attributes too far.
if you go to Ascalon and type in /bonus you will spawn several weapons and a summoning stone in your inventory (if you have the bonus pack bought or you got the trilogy). This summons a fire imp and is usable up til your character levels to 20. I find it helps a lot with lower levels.
Personally I roll an E/Me. More damage against enemies means less time for you to take damage imo.

Just wait for the vanquard quest to be Father Hamnet (May 4th is next time).
With this quest active you can farm some quest foes just outside Foible's Fair. Right next to the spawn there's a monk at the resurrection shrine who will constantly heal you. That way you can put all your attributes in your damage skills.

i suggest looking into my guide for LDoA :
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/l...=1#post5842832
I also made a necro and today im turning in my last vanguard quest to get to lvl 20
Because im not a ele and i didnt have the imp summoning stone i was killing charrs till lvl 14 with another party player.
I used death magic 8 (just enough to get minions to lvl 10) lots of blood magic in order to be able to self heal via regeneration (combined with trolls ungent) and the rest was 4-5 in soul reaping.
My party member pulled the charrs and spiked them while i was summoning minions.
Once you have them summoning theres nothing that can stop you.
Just remember to keep your distance so the charr rangers dont spike you.
